Spring & Summer Schedule
The Afro-Cuban Folkloric Dance Class will continue to meet on Tuesday evenings throughout the Spring and Summer. We hope that those of you who are already enjoying the class will stick with us throughout the warm weather months as our program continues to grow and develop. And if you are considering joining the class we would like to remind you that newcomers and beginners are always welcome.

Caravana Cubana
On Sunday, June 15, the Pioneer Valley Cuba Solidarity Committee will be welcoming the Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravan. Pastors for Peace travels in a caravan throughout the US to collect medical supplies and other things that are difficult for Cuba to obtain because of the US embargo; and then delivers this humanitarian aid to Cuba in direct defiance of the embargo.
The event will include a Cuban meal, speakers from the Caravan, and local performing artists. Headlining the entertainment will be Grupo Folklórico Palo Santo, performing Afro-Cuban folkloric music and dance.
The event will take place at First Churches on Main Street in downtown Northampton from 5:00 - 7:30 PM. Come support an important cause that is near and dear to our hearts; dine on tasty cuban food and enjoy Afro-Cuban music and dance by Grupo Folklórico Palo Santo.

Grupo Folklórico Palo Santo’s Television Debut
On Monday, December 8 2008 Grupo Folklórico Palo Santo will be performing a special one hour show for GCTV’s Homegrown program. The program will air from 7:00 - 8:00 PM; and will be broadcast on 17 local access cable TV stations serving 33 communities in Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire with over 600,000 potential viewers.
There will be plenty of room for a live audience in the TV studio, so invite all of your friends and family. Everybody is invited to enjoy this free show; and to be an important part of Grupo Folklorico Palo Santo’s television debut.
If you can’t be a part of our live studio audience that night, then be sure to catch our performance on your local access cable TV station.
The GCTV studio is located at 393 Main Street in Greenfield, MA.
